Nice to meet you!

I am Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) trained and Internal Family Systems (IFS) Level 1 trained . I specialize in Integrated EMDR/IFS for trauma reprocessing. In addition I am a registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) and a Psychotherapeutic Yoga Teacher (PYT-200). My counseling philosophy blends a client-centered approach with somatic awareness, ensuring that I meet each person where they are with empathy and understanding.

In therapy, I strive to create a safe and supportive space where you feel heard and understood. My goal is to be a compassionate sounding board while equipping you with tools to navigate life’s challenges. Rooted in ethics, creativity, and deep care, I take great pride in walking alongside my clients as they discover the many ways they can show up authentically in the world.

Originally from San Antonio, I earned my BFA in Theater from Texas Tech University and later pursued my MFA in Theater Education at UT-Austin. I spent 15 years teaching in Dallas, but my own journey through depression, anxiety, and self-doubt led me to a transformative experience in therapy—one that inspired me to shift paths. This newfound passion led me to earn my MSW from UT-Arlington, and today, I’m deeply committed to supporting others on their healing journeys. I’ve been married to my husband, Jeff, for 32 years, and together we have four adult children and 3 beloved grand-puppies.

“Healing doesn’t mean the damage never existed. It means the damage no longer controls our lives.”
